First published around the turn the nineteenth century, this is the only regimental history of the 107th OVI know to exist. Fortunately Jacob Smith of Co. D., a native of Canton, Ohio decided to take the time to rewrite his diary and recollect with other veterans to preserve the compelling stories of the 107th.
