Jam Session
The Red Lantern Barn, on the banks of the Sugarcreek, will host a Jam Session from 6:30-10:00 pm. You never know what will be playin’ at this jam session! Bring your instruments or just come and watch, every third Thursday of the month! Located at 13130 Mt. Eaton Street, just outside of Brewster off Rt. 93. This is a free event. Navarre VFW Activities
The new 08-09 year has begun! Boy have the Jr. Girls been active. On July 4th we helped transport the VA wheel chair veterans to & from the Ladies Aux. annual picnic. Also in July we had a swim/camp out at Baylor's Beach, distributed hand held American Flags to veteran campers, held an ice cream social at the post, helped deliver 200 beanie babies to the Canton USO facility and helped bag deodorant & hand sanitizer into small baggies for overseas packages.

Aug. 1st-2nd, several members attended Ohio Day at the VA Natl Home for Children in Eaton, MI. What a lovely campus and huge homes. The nursery and daycare center really caught the girls attention. Your Campbell Soup codes helped them buy a new van this year, so please keep sending in your labels and V8 Lids. List of products can be found on post bulletin board.

The Annual Picnic on Aug. 3rd, was a huge success. Lots of good food and the Post, thanks you all for attending. The Jr. girls Aug. 13th ice cream social may be over by time you read this, but we will have free ice cream at the post from time to time. Hope you get some.

Remember, now is the time to renew your memberships. Men-Women-and Jr. Girls. You can leave dues at the post or mail them in. New members are always welcome.

Legion Auxiliary
Stark County Council American Legion Auxiliary will hold regular monthly meeting at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 19th at Canton Unit #204, 711 Belden Ave. N. E. Unit reports will be given. Make reservations no later than 12:00 noon 8/16/08 to Queen Sholar, 330-456-1970.
